Malayalam has nearly 200 alphabets and symbols. Many of these are rarely used. Aashaan introduces the easy and most frequently used letters and symbols first so that by unit 20 out of 50, at least 80% percent of the written/printed Malayalam content can be read. Words and sentences in each unit are carefully crafted to include only letters and symbols learned until that unit.
